Ephesus & Virgin Marry’s House and Local Shopping Tour

You will be welcomed by your tour guide at the pickup place at the determined time. Our tours start from Kusadasi port / hotel; Izmir port / airport / hotel or from Istanbul. We will arrange a private, comfortable, non-smoking, A/C vehicle and a private driver.

Drive to Selcuk town for Ephesus ancient city. Ephesus is considered to one of the spectacular open-air museums in Turkey and in the world and one of the highlights of Turkey. During this privately guided tour, you will walk through 2,000 year-old marble streets to admire the Library of Celsius, Hadrians Temple, the Fountains of Trajan, Polio, The Temples of Hadrian and Domitian, Bouloterion, and the Great Theatre with capacity of 24.000 spectators.

After you will visit Virgin Marry’s house. It is the place where Blessed Mary may have spent her final days. It is estimated that Mary came in the area together with Saint John who spent several years in Ephesus to spread the Christianity. Here is still active for worship where was declared as a shrine for Christians.

Ephesus is one of the best place in Turkey for cultural shopping tour. Since it is located in the country side you can visit the handicrafts factories and art schools such as delights, olive oil products, ceramics, rugs, leather jackets/bags, which are supported by Turkish Government. Even if you are not interested in to buy something, it is very informative and interesting to see the local crafts how they are made.

This is also another way to learn the local culture and local people lifestyle through the arts. • This is your private tour so We can skip some of the sites above or add more acording to your time, budget and interests.
• You can try one of the local restaurants or stop by some local shops acording to your interests and time.
• Walking is about 1.5 km distance so comfortoble shoes recommended.
• Terrace Houses museum is extra fee. Entrance fee to the Ephesus is not including terraces houses museum.
• Children over 5 pay the full adult price to enter the Terrace Houses which is optional.
• Please note the Terrace Houses are not suitable for wheelchair-users and those who have difficulty in climbing stairs.
